The International Centre Goa and the Taleigao Chess Academy (TCA) organized a Symposium on Pre-Primary and Primary School Education during the ANNUAL ALL GOA PRIMARY SCHOOL CHESS TOURNAMENT at the premises of ICG 0n 26-27 January 2008. The tournament was participated by over 350 students from different parts of Goa. The Symposium and tournament was inaugurated by Shri Bhausaheb Padsalgikar, veteran chess player and promoter of chess from Sangli in Maharashtra. Shri Padsalgikar also released the book “The Right Move” a collection of articles on education and chess and played a game with World Champion Ivana Furtado.
The tournament was sponsored by Dempo Group of Companies, International Centre Goa and Taleigao Chess Academy with the cooperation of other like minded individuals and organizations.
