“Media & Public Interest in South Asia: Some Priority Areas”

Regional Conference on “Media & Public Interest in South Asia: Some Priority Areas” organised by Asian Media Information And Communication Centre Of India (AMIC-India) & Centre for South Asian Studies, School of International Studies, JNU in collaboration with FES-India, UNESCO & ICG was held from October 21-24, 05.
The Conference was attended by senior journalists and experts from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan & Sri Lanka. The Conference was first in the series where other issues will be taken up in the near future.  The conference concluded with Recommendations by the participants to enhance the role of Media in Regional Cooperation in South Asia.
