Simon Marginson is Professor of Higher Education at the University of Oxford, Editor-in-Chief of the journal Higher Education; and Director of the ESRC/OFSRE Centre for Global Higher Education (CGHE). Simon’s research is primarily on global and international higher education, higher education in East Asia, the public and social contributions of higher education, and higher education and social equality. Widely published and cited, his most recent books are co-edited volumes Changing Higher Education in India (forthcoming), Changing Higher Education in East Asia (forthcoming) and Changing Higher Education for a Changing World (2020). Other books include Higher Education and the Common Good (2016). Before joining Oxford, he was a professor at UCL Institute of Education; University of Melbourne; and Monash University.
