ICG Lectures “Growth Interrupted (How India’s Economy Can Grow Again)” Vivek Kaul economist & columnist

Vivek Kaul worked earlier at senior position with the Daily News and Analysis (DNA) and The Economic Times. He is currently a regular columnist with the Mint, Dainik Jagaran, Newslaundry, Bangalore Mirror and the BBC. He is also the author of five books. His fifth book Bad Money – Inside the NPA Mess and How It Threatens the Indian Banking System, is due to be published later this year. India’s Big Government-THE Intrusive State and How It Is Hurting Us, his fourth book, was published in January 2017. Vivek is also the author of the Easy Money trilogy, a series of three books on the history of money and banking, and how that caused the financial crisis that started in 2008 and is still on. The Hindu had this to say about Kaul and Easy Money. “This indigenous writer has written a book which is truly global in every sense. (we) would take the liberty of placing him in the same league as a Niall Ferguson or a Peter Bernstein, even though this is Vivek Kaul’s first book.” Other than this, he has appeared as an expert on the BBC, Mirror Now, CNBC Awaaz and NDTV India. He speaks regularly on economics and finance and has lectured at IIM-Bangalore, IIM-Indore, IIm-Kozhikode, IIM-Vishakhapatnam, NMIMS, TAPMI and the symbiosis Institute of Media and Communication, among others.
