Shirin M. Rai is Distinguished Research Professor of Politics and International Relations at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) and a Fellow of the British Academy. Her publications include Performing Representation (2019), a commentary on women MPs in the Indian Parliament; OUP Handbook of Politics and Performance (2021); and Indian Debates on the International Left (2021).
