Shivam Singh is a Delhi-based lawyer practicing since 2010. He has represented several sports clubs from India in disputes before regulatory bodies, High Court, Supreme Court and Court of Arbitration for Sports. The Supreme Court recently appointed him as an Amicus Curiae in a case dealing with criminalisation of match fixing in India. Shivam read law at National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bangalore and Columbia Law School. He was a visiting researcher at Harvard Law School and has also served as guest faculty for sports law at reputed law schools in India including NLSIU. Shivam has published in several national and international law journals. His book Sports Law in India (Thomson Reuters, 2025) aims to raise awareness about the legal challenges and opportunities surrounding sports and examines the legal frameworks governing sports with a focus on issues such as governance, dispute resolution, intellectual property, anti-doping measures, gender equity, and commercialization.
