The impact of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has been dramatic for the education sector. In India, as everywhere else, with schools and colleges closed for more than 12 months, online learning has become the norm. Other than such immediate repercussions, the Great Pandemic is affecting and will continue to affect the higher education sector in many different ways. The current discussion will take up questions such as the following: What has been the larger impact of the Great Pandemic on India’s higher education? What are the main changes that the pandemic has forced upon colleges and universities? What will India’s higher education look like in the post-pandemic years?
